A HARD DAY

Today is a hard day. Today I had to put on a happy face and go and have a Mother's Day Brunch with Ashley at her school, we had a great time. She was a little disappointed that I could not stay with her all day. Today she told me that I was her best friend and it did bring a tear to my eye.

One year ago today I lost my mom... the worst thing that could ever happen to me. Today I sit and think of my mom and try to remember what she was like before she became sick. Today I think about Ashley and that she will never know her grandmother. Today I miss my best friend....................

Conversations with Ashley

Ashley: "Mommy turn on the green tractor song ( Jason Aldean), please"

Me: "Okay Ashley"

Ashley: "Mommy its my song don't sing it"

Ashley: :Mommy turn it up I can't hear it"

This happens daily in car on the way to school and the way home, she loves Jason Aldean.

Ashley loves fruit snacks, any kind, any flavor it doesn't matter. So on Sunday I took her to Old Navy to get a St. Patricks Day shirt for her party at school and we walk into the store and she says:

" Mommy this isn't the right store for fruit snacks"

I just laughed, the things she says.

POTTY TRAINING

Last Sunday Ashley woke up and told me she has to go potty, so off we went. After many many months of sitting on the potty she finally goes potty. She has been going on the potty ever since. I am so proud of her. We have had some accidents definitely to be expected but she is going great.

CRAYONS

So yesterday I was at home for lunch and I discovered that a little someone had colored on my walls. I picked her up from school and brought in the house and asked her "Ashley did you color on my walls?

She simply said "Yes Mommy I did"

She answered me like how dare I ask her such a question. So we had a little discussion about not coloring on my walls.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM

MOM,

Mom lived her life for love of friends and family,Neither asking for nor wanting a return. Her days became a sunlit homily,With others' joy her joy and main concern. When we were ill, she also became sick; When we were cut, she, too, began to bleed.Of our oil lamp she was the wick,Drawing her bright flame from our need. Some say that such behavior's out of date:That self-fulfillment is the way to grace. But Mom, without much choice, then chose her fate,Finding greater truth in an embrace. She lives on in the sparkle in our eyes:Laughing, quiet, gentle, loving, wise.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY I HOPE YOU GET THIS WISH IN HEAVEN I LOVE YOU SO MUCH AND MISS SO DEARLY.
